In the summer of 2020, national protests against policing, as well as conversations around race relations, captured the attention of many members of the National Gen Z and Millennial Community (NMC). NMC members are seeking to channel their energy into a constructive path forward and participate in the public safety conversation in a way that can lead to meaningful solutions.
Engage Public Safety has partnered with NMC to develop a project that will give young people across the nation, an opportunity to engage in thought provoking, educational discussions that will inform their perspectives and help them generate ideas to share with law enforcement executives. |
NMC members will create a series of videos and podcasts capturing interviews / conversations with thought leaders representing differing perspectives on the current issues around policing and social justice.
The Conversation Playlist will be presented to a broad community of their peers on 44 campuses across 40 states, on an online platform and promoted through a coordinated social media campaign. After reviewing various perspectives, NMC will then host a virtual meeting with law enforcement representatives from across the country to share their learnings, perspectives and ideas with police executives. This project offers young Americans a platform to dig into the issues, formulate their own perspectives, and share their voices with law enforcement leaders. |
